Marié 2026 Season Fishing Report | Milestones Beyond the Expected Week 10 | October 12 to 18

The Rio Marié continued to show its unpredictable side this week. Mixed weather and a stable river meant anglers had to stay focused and work for every meaningful opportunity, but several of those chances turned into important catches.

Part of the group went to the headwaters camp of while two families with their teenagers and anglers from Italy continued fishing from the Untamed Amazon alongside the rest of the group. Hosted by Rodrigo, Pamela, and Lalá Salles, it was a lighthearted, fun-filled week on the river.

Beyond the pursuit of giant peacock bass, some anglers dedicated time to targeting piraíba, adding a very different kind of challenge to the week. And even little Laura, still under four years old, landed her very own butterfly peacock bass on the fly.

By the end of the trip, the stories extended well beyond a single catch. A young returning angler reached a major peacock bass milestone, two giant Piraíba added another dimension to the experience, and another angler finished the week with a new personal best.

   River Conditions:

The river remained stable throughout the week.

With conditions holding steady, anglers still had to work carefully for their opportunities and remain ready when larger fish appeared.

   Weather Conditions:

Mixed weather conditions marked the week, with water temperatures averaging approximately 26°C.

|Unforgettable Moments of the Week

Enrico’s Defining Week on the Rio Marié

At just 15 years old, Enrico returned to the Rio Marié for his second expedition and made the week one to remember.

He landed his first 20 lb peacock bass—a defining milestone in trophy peacock bass fishing and one that many anglers pursue for years. But his week was not over yet.

On the final day, Enrico hooked a giant Piraíba and fought the fish for nearly an hour. Staying composed, focused, and consistent through that kind of battle, he ultimately brought the fish to hand.

Two remarkable fish. Two very different challenges. A young angler already writing his own history on the Marié.

Christian and a Giant Piraíba

Christian came to the Rio Marié with a particular interest in catfish for his new photo book, and during the week he found the opportunity he was looking for.

He successfully landed a giant Piraíba of his own, adding another powerful Amazon species to a week already filled with very different fishing experiences.

Zeca & Paulinho: A Week to Remember

For Zeca and Paulinho, the goal was simple: have fun, catch plenty of fish, and make the most of a father-and-son week on the Rio Marié.

They did exactly that. Together, they caught nearly 200 fish, one of the highest totals of the season so far—day after day filled with action, laughter, and more takes than they could have hoped for.

But the defining part of the week was not only the numbers. It was the time shared on the water: the stories exchanged on the ride back each afternoon, the fish that got away, the ones that did not, and the kind of memories that will surely be retold long after they returned home.

A remarkable week of fishing—and an even better one between father and son.

Ryan Sets a New Personal Best

Ryan arrived at the Rio Marié with a clear objective and finished the week having achieved it.

After working through unpredictable conditions, he landed his personal best peacock bass, creating a new benchmark of his own on the River of Giants.

|Looking Ahead

With the final camp of the season now complete, the operation returns its full focus to the Rio Marié from Untamed Amazon.

Week 10 showed how varied a single trip can become, from the pursuit of trophy class peacock bass to encounters with giant Piraíba. As the season continues, the guide team will keep reading the river closely and adapting to the opportunities that develop.
