This week, we were delighted to host an enthusiastic group of 12 Brazilian anglers, many of whom were visiting the Marié for the first time. Known as the ultimate destination for trophy Peacock Bass, the Marié lived up to its reputation, delivering thrilling encounters with some of the largest Temensis on the planet. Despite the challenge of shifting water levels, the group’s adaptability and determination were rewarded with exceptional catches, cementing the Marié’s standing as the pinnacle of the fly-fishing experience.

With guidance from expert guide Sérgio, Marcela fought and landed a true giant—a breathtaking 20lb Peacock Bass. This remarkable catch marked her first-ever trophy fish, a moment that will undoubtedly stay with her forever.

Eric’s Giant Lagoon Monster

Eric, a seasoned Rio Marié angler, proved that even the most experienced fishermen can still be surprised by the river’s wonders. On the first day, Eric spotted movement in a lagoon and cast repeatedly. The initial stillness on the line belied what was to come: the realization that a true river titan had been hooked.
