Accommodations & Services
On the Marié River, the Untamed Amazon is not just accommodation — it's the mobile base that allows access to over 600 km of preserved waters, with constant rotation of areas and virtually no fishing pressure.
While you fish, the boat repositions itself. As the river changes, the operation adapts.
This is what sustains the quality of the fishing throughout the season.
BOAT SPECIFICATIONS:
- Length: 28 m / 92 ft
- Width: 7.8 m
- Draft: 1.0 m (ideal for accessing shallow areas)
- Speed: 9 knots
- Engines: 2 MWM marine engines of 200 hp
This configuration allows for precise navigation of winding rivers and turning almost on its own axis — fundamental for operating in closed structures and narrow channels.
ONBOARD ENERGY:
Hybrid system with solar priority:
- 60 solar panels (33 kWh)
- BESS system with high-capacity LiFePo4 batteries
- Encapsulated auxiliary generators (low noise)
Operation:
- 4 PM–11 PM: generator support for recharging and higher demand
- 11 PM–5 AM: silent operation via batteries
Practical result:
Sustainability and low emissions with less noise, lower diesel consumption, and improved rest quality.
WATER:
The operation on the Marié River was designed to eliminate dependence on bottled water, reducing the logistical impact and waste generation in a remote environment.
The Untamed Amazon has its own onboard water production and treatment system:
- Capacity: 1,500 liters per hour
- Total storage: 6,400 liters
The filtration process occurs in multiple stages:
- Sediment removal
- Microfiltration of fine particles
- Bacterial filter
- Reverse osmosis
All water used on the boat passes through this system:
- Direct consumption
- Kitchen
- Faucets
- Showers
The quality is regularly monitored by a certified laboratory in Manaus, guaranteeing potability standards throughout the entire operation.
The partnership with YETI is linked to how this water is used on board.
Thermal bottles are part of the daily routine of the operation:
- Available for collective use, with continuous sanitization and reuse.
- Available for purchase in special editions each season.
This system allows for minimizing—and practically eliminating—the use of disposable plastic on the Marié River.
In practice: treated water available at all points on the boat, without dependence on plastic bottles.
