Marié 2025 Season Fishing Report | Persistence Through Rising Waters Week 16 November 23 – November 30

UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT

Luke Barrel
Luke arrived at the Marié in pursuit of a new personal best peacock bass caught previously in Colombia, and the river delivered more than he expected. Midweek, he broke his record twice, each time connecting with powerful, beautifully conditioned fish. Then, on the final afternoon, he pushed the bar even higher. With steady hands and precise timing, Luke landed a 21 lb trophy, closing the week with yet another milestone—a fitting finish to a trip defined by progression and persistence.

Yuriy
Traveling from Ukraine for his first-ever peacock bass adventure, Yuriy added a long-awaited species to an already impressive angling résumé. The Marié welcomed him immediately. On his very first catch, he connected with a massive 88 cm, 21 lb peacock bass, a dream opening chapter and a moment he will remember for the rest of his life. Few anglers begin their Amazon experience with a fish of this caliber, making his achievement truly exceptional.

LOOKING AHEAD

As waters continue to rise, precision and timing will become increasingly important. But even in these shifting conditions, the Marié proves once more that opportunity is always present for those who approach it with patience, discipline, and respect for its power.
