Rio Marié 2023 Season Fishing Report | Week 15 December 03 to 10

Weather: We had another mixed sunny week with some rainy days.

Temperatures between: 29ºC and 39ºC

River Conditions: River kept rising by the end of the week.

Fishing Summary: Like what happened last week, the slowly rising water level improved the fishing at the lagoons as the fish kept moving back to spots they couldn’t reach when the water was really low. Resulting in another very good fishing week.

Marcelo Machado, a devoted angler, recently had an unforgettable experience on the Rio Marié. Casting his line with anticipation, a lightning-fast strike from a peacock bass ensued the moment his fly touched the water. Skillfully battling the powerful fish, Marcelo navigated the river’s twists, landing a remarkable 89cm peacock bass.
