What she didn’t expect was for her very first Peacock Bass to be a massive 87cm, 21lb giant! It was a moment of pure amazement and pride, setting the tone for an unforgettable introduction to the sport.

Alan – The Last-Day Trophy
For most of the week, Alan had been chasing the dream of landing a trophy fish. On the final day, with time running out, he finally got his chance. After missing a first strike, he remained focused, and when the second strike came, he nailed it. The result? A stunning 20lb Peacock Bass, a hard-earned victory to cap off an incredible week.

Rafael Marques and The Marié Guides

Our Marié Guides, led by Rafael Marques, were once again the backbone of success this week. Their knowledge of the river and ability to adapt to the rising water conditions ensured every angler had the best possible opportunities to land a fish of a lifetime.
Looking Ahead:

As the season continues, the Rio Marié remains as unpredictable as it is rewarding. Rising waters bring new challenges, but they also open up new possibilities for discovering untouched lagoons and trophy fish waiting to be found.
With every week, the excitement grows, and the stories become richer. For those seeking the ultimate fly-fishing experience, the Rio Marié is where legends are born.
