This Is Rio Marié

Rio Marié holds some of the largest peacock bass on the planet—and its story is written in the water, season after season.

Our new film takes you into this extraordinary stretch of the Brazilian Amazon: a vast, protected network of rivers, lagoons, tributaries, and channels where giant temensis continue to thrive.

The journey begins in Manaus and continues by air into country that few people will ever see. Hundreds of miles of water unfold beyond the last roads, creating the space and quiet a fishery like this needs to remain healthy.

On the river, every day is guided by experience from two worlds. Our professional guides bring a deep understanding of technique, presentation, and fish behavior; Indigenous guides bring an intimate, generational knowledge of the Marié itself. Together, they read the conditions and put anglers in the right water at the right moment.

Years of careful management, limited access, and a steadfast catch-and-release ethic have shaped this fishery into one of the finest places in the world to pursue giant peacock bass.
