This was a week of mobility and strategy, with the Untamed Amazon navigating to the upper reaches of the Marié in search of optimal conditions. Some days demanded persistence, but the reward came in the form of exceptional fish size and unforgettable moments.
Two fish over 90 cm were landed — including a historic milestone for the Marié:
the youngest angler ever to land a peacock bass of this size on fly gear. Even more special, both brothers shared this achievement in the same week — proving once again that the Marié is truly the River of Giants.

UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT
Will: After days of searching, Will’s persistence paid off in a dramatic scenario. Just before a storm swept in, and with his friends cheering him on, he finally landed his long-awaited 20 lb giant — seconds before racing for cover.
Michael Domeier: Known worldwide for his research on sharks, Michael came face to face with the Amazon’s apex predator. The encounter ended with a monster in the net — a massive peacock bass of a lifetime 25 lb - 90cm that perfectly embodied the raw power of the Marié.
Benjamin: His day began with action in a paca feeding frenzy, but the highlight was still to come. After a heavy strike in the middle of a lagoon, his line screamed into the backing. The battle ended in triumph — a 90 cm, 24 lb trophy and a memory that will last forever.
LOOKING AHEAD
The stage is set for more giants to appear, and every cast continues to hold the promise of record-class encounters on the Rio Marié.
